The Minister of Defense [Rodion Malinovsky] HAS ORDERED:

For the performance of a special assignment to prepare twin 23-mm (ZU-23) mounts with combat crews in the service of the Airborne Forces, and send them taking into consideration of their arrival:

1. To Liepaya [Liepāja]: six mounts from the 76th Guards Airborne Division by 18 September.

2. To Baltiysk: eighteen mounts from the 76th Guards Airborne Division, of which: four mounts by 17 September and fourteen mounts by 24 September and ten mounts from the 44th Guards Training Division by 8 October.

3. To Nikolayev [Mykolaiv]: twenty-four mounts from the 104th Guards Airborne Division, of which: twelve by 17 September and twelve by 26 September, six mounts from the 106th Guards Airborne Division by 9 October.

4. With each twin (ZU-23) mount send two units of fire (2400 rounds for each mount).

All mounts will be returned to their units with combat crews when the assignment is performed.
