March 12, 1947	Truman Doctrine, 'Recommendations for Assistance to Greece and Turkey' Truman's speech to Congress in which he laid the foundations of the Truman Doctrine by stating that the United States would support Greece and Turkey in order to prevent them from under the sway of the Soviet Union. This speech is often cited as the beginning of the Cold War, and US containment policy.
October 27, 1973	Telegram from Pyongyang, SECRET, No.061482, Urgent Popa notes Kim Yeong-nam's concern regarding interference of the USSR and USA in the Yom Kippur/October War as a source of a wider conflict, contrary to the optimism expressed by the North Korean leadership.

January 8, 1957	Information on Turkish and Greek Intelligence Services Activity Against Bulgaria in 1956 A report focused on the Turkish and Greek intelligence activities in Bulgaria. The report outlines the major areas of interest – the Bulgarian military infrastructure, economic development, and the Communist party leadership. The report also talks about the role of the Turkish diplomatic representatives in encouraging repatriation of Turkish-Bulgarians to Turkey.

Khrushchev to the CPSU CC Presidium regarding conversations with Yugoslav leaders in Yugoslavia Khrushchev describes his conversations with Josip Broz Tito during his visit to Yugoslavia. They discussed the issues of U.S. aid to Yugoslavia, the Turkish and Greek conflict over Cyprus, the expansion of contact between Soviet and Yugoslav workers and the path to socialism. Tito appeared uneasy and was dissatisfied with relations between the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia.
