The Journalist Informer writes that Mamdūḥ Maydānī returned to Damascus on the orders of Ḥusnī Za'īm. Maydānī wanted to return to Beirut to continue and increase surveillance of Syrians and Communists in the city.
The Journalist Informer reports that Konsṭanṭin [?] Tābit reconstituted the Lebanese Republican Independence Party and met with party members to discuss recruiting the youth.
