November 3, 1970	Telegram Number 4549/52, 'Sino-Hungarian Relations and the Indochina Problem' Etienne Manac’h, reporting on a thaw in relations between China and Hungary, suggests that the PRC seeks "a greater zone of autonomy vis-à-vis the Soviet Union in Eastern Europe."
May 27, 1970	Foreign Minister, Department of Political Affairs, Asia-Oceania, Note, 'Polish Opinion about Chinese Policy' The Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Paris offers his views on Sino-Soviet relations in the context of developments in the Vietnam War.
October 29, 1968	Telegram Number 5186/92, 'Chinese Foreign Policy' Relying on British assessments of the situation in China, the French Ambassador in London reports that Chinese foreign policy is the outcome of debates between anti-Soviets and anti-Americans within the CCP.
August 19, 1965	Chinese Foreign Ministry Circular, "Vietnam 'Peace Talk' Activities" The Chinese Foreign Ministry reports on overtures made by the United States toward initiating peace talks to end the Vietnam War. Many countries in such as Ghana, France, India and Yugoslavia are attempting to promote the talks, but China remains skeptical of these initiatives and opposed to opening talks.
October 20, 1965	Mao's Conversation with the Party and Government Delegation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam Mao Zedong expresses his support of Vietnam in their struggle against the US.
August 12, 1965	Chinese Foreign Ministry Circular, "Malraux’s visit to China" The Chinese Foreign Ministry reports on a visit by the French Minister of State Andre Malraux to China. Malraux came in part to act as a peace broker for the United States and proposed a plan to Zhou Enlai to divide Vietnam. Zhou rejected the proposal.
August 3, 1965	Chinese Foreign Ministry Circular, 'Talks Between the Ghanaian Mission and the DRV' The Chinese Foreign Ministry reports on a visit by the President of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah, to North Vietnam as part of a British commonwealth initiative to mediate peace talks between the US and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The DRV rejected the Ghana overture on the grounds that it was "designed in reality to bypass the Geneva Accords to get the United States and the DRV into direct talks while countries like Ghana help the United States by pressuring the DRV." The circular then gives instructions to the Chinese embassies on how to deal with questions about the mission.
February 7, 1968	Discussion between Zhou Enlai and Ho Chi Minh Zhou Enlai proposes to the Vietnamese to organize additional field army corps to carry out operational tasks far from home bases.
November 17, 1968	Discussion between Mao Zedong and Pham Van Dong Mao Zedong advises Vietnam to use low US morale and new President Nixon to their advantage. Mao Zedong also withdraws unneeded Chinese troops, promising to return if needed.
