May 3, 1958	Deputy Minister Winiewicz, 'Record of Conversation with US Ambassador on May 3, 1958' Deputy Minister Winiewicz recounts his conversation with Ambassador Beam, in which Winiewicz replies to the American note concerning the Rapacki Plan by asserting the Polish intention to continue pursuing the Plan. Beam assures Winiewicz of the American interest in positive relations with Poland.
February 19, 1958	Note from Department III Director Jeleń The Polish Embassy in Washington reports on the negative American opinion of the Rapacki Plan, as well as calls for free elections in eastern Europe.
February 14, 1958	Letter, A. Rapacki to Mr. Jacob D. Beam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America in Warsaw " Adam Rapacki, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, discusses the Polish Plan and the Soviet proposal for a meeting of various heads of state.
January 10, 1958	Code Message No. 269 from Korolcyzk to Gede (Moscow), Willmann (Budapest), Mazur (Prague), and Zambrowics (Bucharest) The Polish Foreign Ministry informs its diplomats in Moscow, Budapest, Prague, and Bucharest about the French Prime Minister's interview criticizing the Rapacki Plan.
February 2, 1971	Memorandum from [withheld] for Deputy Chief [withheld], 'Recent Radio Free Europe (RFE) Broadcasts to Poland' [Declassified September 19, 2016] CIA officials responsible for RFE question the criticism of RFE Polish broadcasts by the Polish Government, the West German Government, and the State Department and conclude that coverage of the December 1970 unrest in Poland was responsible and effective.
November 9, 1944	Letter No. 402 from L.D. Wilgress, Canadian Embassy, Moscow, to the Secretary of State for External Affairs, W.L. Mackenzie King The Canadian Ambassador to the Soviet Union, L.D. Wilgress, thoroughly reviews Soviet foreign policy in Europe, Asia, and in Latin America and its relations with the United States and the United Kingdom. Wilgress optimistically concludes that "the Soviet Government are desirous of co-operating fully with the other great powers."
October 9, 1944	Record of Meeting at the Kremlin, Moscow, 9 October 1944, at 10 p.m. Churchill, Eden, Stalin, and Molotov discuss the leadership in Poland, Britains interests in Greece and Hong Kong, the actions of Romania and Bulgaria during the war, Turkey, the need for the Great Powers to exert influence on the Balkans to prevent small wars, the leadership of Italy, interests in Bulgaria and Romania, the dividing of Germany and Germany's future, and the American plans in the war against Japan.
October 29, 1971	Report by KGB Chairman Andropov on Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty A report from KGB Chairman Andropov to the Central Committee of the CPSU assessing the status of Radio Liberty and Radio Free Europe in their “transition” period and measures that might be taken to weaken them. It alleges that RFE and RL are planning subversive actions against the USSR at the Munich Olympics. It credits the Soviet bloc intelligence services with increasing the problems of the Radios. The document indicates timely KGB knowledge of internal RL documents such as the March 15, 1971 revision of the Radio Liberty Policy Manual.
July 5, 1989	Excerpts from the Conversation of M.S. Gorbachev and Francois Mitterrand Excerpts from a dinner conversation between Gorbachev and Mitterrand where they discuss the political situations in Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland, and also comment on the US political system.
