Ho Chi Minh's Appeal to the Vietnamese Nation to Fight Against the Americans

Ho Chi Minh discussed the American military escalation: The deployment of troops in South Vietnam, the use of chemical poisons and napalm, the bombing of the North, etc. He said that the only way peace can be achieved is by the US pulling out from Vietnam and accepting the DRV's 4 points and the NLF's 5 points. Ho Chi Minh then called on the Vietnamese nation to keep on fighting until victory.

Contains memos issued by the General Military Intelligence Directorate (GMID), last dated 6 July 1988, regarding the following issues: The use of chemical weapons by the Iranian Army during the Iran-Iraq War, stating dates and places where they were used; the attempts of Iran to produce chemical weapons relying on the assistance of North Korea, Syria and West Germany; developing some Iranian insecticide factories to be able to produce chemical weapons; types of chemical weapons which are used or produced by Iran, such
as mustard Gas, C factor, phosgene factor, white phosphorus, sarin gas. Page 27 contains correspondence by the Iraqi Military Attache Office in Cairo to the GMID, dated 14 September 1988, regarding information received from the Egyptian Intelligence about Iran's attempts to obtain chemical weapons from Spain through mediators and to provide Libya with chemical weapons in return for supplying Scud B missiles.

Transcript of a meeting between Saddam Hussein and unidentified Iraqi diplomats. The meeting was held to revise a statement written by Saddam to be read by the Minster of Foreign Affairs regarding how the Iraqis stand respecting international law and legislation (i.e. the Geneva protocol of 1925). The second issue they discussed was the Kurdish insurgency. Saddam wanted to discuss the issue internationally with the participation of four countries. The attendees exchanged their points of view regarding the influence of
such decisions (independence of the Kurds) in Turkey and Iran.

This is an excerpt of a conversation which appears in full at BA-SAPMO J IV 2/201/1416. The conversation opens with the issue of French-Israeli relations. France plans to deliver a nuclear reactor to Israel to the opposition of the Arab world. Also mentioned are the deliveries of arms from the GDR to the PLO. Arafat reports on the use of chemical weapons by Israel in Lebanon. These weapons were reportedly delivered by the FRG. Israel also seems to use biological weapons. Final topics of discussion are the role of the Pope in Poland, the question of Jerusalem, and the Islamic movement in Afghanistan.
