Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, and Kim Il Sung, General Secretary of the KWP CC and Chairman of the DPRK Cabinet of Ministers, 28 June 1972' Novikov and Kim Il Sung discuss the DPRK’s trade and economy, emphasizing the increasing cooperation among the socialist countries through the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (Comecon). In addition, Kim Il Sung mentions that the North has secret contacts in South Korea in order to gain a better understanding of the internal situation in Seoul.

December 10, 1945	Malik, 'On the Question of a United Government in Korea' This document discusses the creation of an independent Korea. Roosevelt, Churchill, and Chiang Kai-shek first presented the idea at the Cairo Conference in 1943. The United States supports the creation of a single Korean state while the USSR opposes it. The document discusses the importance of the answer to the unification question for the Soviet Union's political and economic future as well as its interest in the Far East.

Ivanov for 13 January 1956 Ivanov delivers to Kim Il Sung a status report on the Soviet Embassy’s work to grant Korean citizenship to Soviet Koreans. Kim hopes that allowing Soviet Koreans to travel to and from the USSR can be used as a means to strengthen the two countries’ ties.
